Israelis arrested in Turkey

Hebrew media reported that the Turkish authorities arrested two Israelis on its lands for ambiguous reasons.

Today, Thursday, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation “Makan” stated that the background to the arrest of these two people in Turkey is not yet clear, adding that the Israeli Foreign Ministry is following up the case with the authorities in Ankara.

This comes a month after official Turkish media confirmed the arrest of 15 people inside the country on charges of spying for the Israeli intelligence service “Mossad”.

The former deputy director of “Mossad”, head of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee in the Knesset, Ram Ben Barak, had stated that none of these 15 detainees was an officer in the Israeli intelligence.about:blank
