Police said two trains collided on Sunday in a railway tunnel in the southwestern English city of Salisbury, injuring a number of people.
British Transport Police said : “A number of people were injured, but fortunately no one was killed.” The accident occurred in a tunnel near Salisbury station, and there are reports of a train derailment.
And the police force in the English county of Wiltshire, confirmed that it had sent fire trucks and ambulances to the scene of the accident.
The BBC reported that the driver of one of the two trains was believed to be trapped in the cockpit.
Train operator Great Western Railways said the accident occurred between a train traveling from Portsmouth to Bristol and one from Waterloo station in London to Honiton
