The number of coronavirus infections in Russia witnessed an unprecedented increase during the last day, with more than 40 thousand new cases.
Today, Saturday, the Operations Room to combat the coronavirus outbreak in Russia announced that it had detected 40,251 new infections during the past 24 hours (compared to 39,849 cases the day before), which represents the largest daily toll since the beginning of the pandemic.
The largest number of new infections is distributed between the capital, Moscow (7,267 cases), the second largest city of the country, St. Petersburg (3578 cases), the Moscow Province (2680 cases) and the Samara Province (1405 cases).
The death toll from the coronavirus in the country rose during the last day by 1160 deaths, compared to an unprecedented jump of 1163 deaths yesterday.
And 28,909 patients in Russia recovered during the last day of the “Covid-19” disease caused by Corona.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, eight million and 472,797 confirmed cases of corona have been recorded in the country, including 237,380 deaths and 7 million and 331,424 cases of recovery.
