“Lebanese Forces”: the accusations against us are false, and “Hezbollah” is responsible for the escalation

“Lebanese Forces” party rejected the accusations of attacking demonstrators supporting “Hezbollah” and the “Amal” movement in the capital, Beirut, on Thursday.

In a statement, the party denied the validity of the allegations of “Hezbollah” and “Amal”, who accused it earlier today of carrying out direct sniping operations against the demonstrators supporting them in the Tayouneh area, which left dead and wounded, saying: “The accusation of the “forces” is totally rejected, It is a false accusation and the purpose of it is to divert attention from Hezbollah’s invasion of this region and other regions in previous times.

Samir Geagea’s party called on the competent authorities to “clearly and explicitly define responsibilities” in these tragic events, and blamed them on “Hezbollah” and its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.

The statement stated: “The unfortunate events that happened today on the ground, which are strongly condemned by us, are only the result of a shipping process that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah began four months ago by inciting in all his speeches against the judicial investigator (the investigative judge in the Beirut port explosion case). Tariq Bitar), and the explicit and public call to stop his hand.

The statement indicated that “Hezbollah” tried to pressure the government and sent in particular its security official, Wafiq Safa, to the Palace of Justice in order to dismiss Judge Bitar, but the authorities did not respond to these threats, which prompted “Hezbollah” to call for organizing demonstrations today.

The statement pointed out that the media reports and videos spread on the communication sites “concretely confirm the appearance of armed men with weapons and machine guns and their entry into safe neighborhoods,” adding: “What happened today is known by far and near, which is confronting justice with the same revolutionary logic and the use of weapons, intimidation, violence and force to overthrow the path of justice in the explosion of a port.” Beirut”
